Hello, market friends!
Thank You for Supporting Thomasville Farmers Market...and Save the Date!

Hello Market Friends,
As we move through another wonderful market season, we want to take a moment to say thank you.
Every Saturday, our farmers, makers, bakers, and community partners show up bright and early to bring the very best of what our region has to offer. Whether you're harvesting produce before sunrise, baking fresh loaves, crafting handmade goods, or setting up tents, your dedication helps make Thomasville Farmers Market a welcoming and vibrant community gathering place.
To our shoppers, thank you for choosing local. Every purchase supports small businesses, local farms, and hardworking families right here in our community. Your enthusiasm, conversations, smiles, and continued support are what keep the market thriving week after week. We are grateful for each and every one of you who makes Saturday mornings such a special tradition.
We also want to thank everyone who joined us last weekend for our pesto demonstration with Thomasville Parks and Recreation! We loved sharing creative ways to reduce food waste and make the most of garden-fresh ingredients. It was wonderful to see so many people stop by for a taste and leave inspired to try something new in their own kitchens.
Save the Date: Multicultural Fair – June 20
Mark your calendars for Friday, June 20, when Thomasville Parks and Recreation will host its Multicultural Fair. This exciting community event celebrates the diverse cultures, traditions, foods, music, and experiences that make our community unique.
The fair will feature cultural exhibits, performances, activities, and opportunities to learn from and connect with neighbors from a variety of backgrounds. We encourage everyone to come out and be part of this special celebration of community and culture. We look forward to seeing many familiar market faces there!
Featured Recipe: Garden Greens Pesto
This flexible pesto recipe is a great way to use basil along with carrot tops and other edible garden greens.
Ingredients:
• 2 cups fresh basil leaves
• 1 cup carrot top greens, washed and trimmed
• 1 cup additional greens (parsley, spinach, kale, arugula, or a combination)
• ½ cup nuts or seeds (walnuts, pecans, sunflower seeds, or pine nuts)
• 2 cloves garlic
• ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
• ½ cup olive oil, plus more if needed
• Juice of ½ lemon
• Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Add basil, carrot tops, additional greens, nuts or seeds, garlic, and Parmesan to a food processor.
Pulse until finely chopped.
With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the mixture reaches your desired consistency.
Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Pulse a few more times to combine.
Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
Serve over pasta, spread on sandwiches, spoon onto roasted vegetables, or use as a flavorful topping for grilled chicken or fish.
Thank you again for supporting Thomasville Farmers Market. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
Warmly,
The Thomasville Farmers Market Team 🍅🥕🌻
