2026 Opening Day at Thomasville Farmers Market

Hey friends,

We are so close to it now — opening day at the Thomasville Farmers Market is Saturday, May 2, and we can’t wait to see everyone back out at the market.

After a long break, the market is coming back with fresh energy, familiar faces, and a few exciting updates we’re really proud to share this season.

First up — SNAP Double Up Bucks is back and better than ever. If you use SNAP/EBT, you can double your benefits to stretch your food dollars even further on fresh, local produce. It’s one of our favorite programs because it helps make fresh, healthy food more accessible for everyone in our community.

Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program - This program is a wonderful way to support both our local farmers and members of our community. This program provides eligible seniors with vouchers to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and more directly from approved vendors at the market. It’s a simple way to make healthy, seasonal food more accessible while keeping dollars in the hands of local growers. The program runs from July 1 through September 30, 2026. If you or someone you know may qualify or would like more information, stop by the market and speak with one of our market managers—we’re happy to help you get started and enjoy all the goodness our market has to offer.

We’re also excited to introduce a change to the Eat The Rainbow program. Last market season, young market visitors received $3 in Rainbow Bucks each Saturday to spend with at the market on fresh fruits and veggies. This season we’re thrilled to increase Rainbow Bucks to $5! That means even more support for families shopping with kids, and even more fun ways to explore fresh fruits and veggies at the market.

And of course, it wouldn’t be the Thomasville Farmers Market without all the little things that make it special:
